There was an issue reported with the No Announcements display and I wanted to provide an update on that ticket. Based on Blackboard's testing, there was indeed a change in behavior from 6.2.3.6 to 6.2.3.23 that is causing the system to display "No Announcements" for every course, if the announcements area is checked in the module personalization. Previously it would not display this text. Jeremy is not sure why this change was made, and from what he can tell has not been reported by other clients. The problem is also seen in App Pack 3 as well.
There is a quick workaround. Instructors will simply need to click the "pencil" icon in the upper right on the My Courses box and un-check the checkbox in the announcements column for the courses for which they do not want to see announcements. Alternatively, they can check-off the Course name column, which will add the course name as a delimiter.

If you have requested a course be recycled, LOOK FOR THE FOLLOWING:
- Any File with a file size of ( -1 Bytes )
Files show a ( -1 Bytes ) behind the uploaded item. - Please carefully check quizzes and exams before using them in your course.
There have been situations were quizzes and exams have lost the point values and all answers have been set to Correct. - Look at former semester Announcements.
During the recycling process some Announcements were not recycled because the dates could not be adjusted for the new system. - Course Content Duplication.
During the recycling process we have occasionally seen some courses that have had course material show several times. This duplication should be reported. - Final Note:
Carefully check your entire course. Please do not assume your course is exactly the same as it was the last time you used it. We have done our best to duplicate the courses exactly, but some anomalies have occurred. - If you have any of these issues occur in your course, please contact the Instructional Design Team (ext 3374 or ext 5886) as soon as you can so we can help you resolve the issue.
